Switching node versions development

Handy article for switching between node versions which has just saved my bacon. Uses nvm-windows, a node.js version management utility for Windows.

Sláine: The Horned God - credit Simon Bisley

One of my favourites growing up, the special collector's edition of Sláine: The Horned God is out on 27 May exclusively from the 2000 AD webshop (with the standard print edition postponed to 3 September 2020). The hardcover edition, however, is a special one featuring Simon Bisley artwork was limited to 200 copies. Sadly sold out but the paperback is still for sale.

Reeling With PJ Harvey

'Reeling' is made of backstage tour footage filmed over a 3 week period out of PJ Harvey's 1993 European and American Tour. This was constructed around live footage taken from 2 dates at the 'Forum', London.


60+ ready-to-use UI blocks (tailblocks) with Tailwind CSS by Mert Cukuren. These blocks are fully responsive and include dark mode and colour options.

Line height

A formula based approach by Jesús Ricarte, using calc to figure out optimal line-height. This technique also helps with responsive typography. v2 is out after a complete rewrite. If you didn't know it's a free bundle of tools to generate & live preview different CSS properties, plus some other web development tools.

Unreal Engine 5 first look

Epic Games debuted a massive demo recently of the new Unreal Engine 5 which will be released next year. The demo was done on a Playstation 5 and their goal is to achieve photorealism on par with movie CG and real life
