Loughaunacreen Beach, Kerry

My annual Christmas drive out in the dark and randomly find a place for a sunrise photo. These spots aren’t hard to find around Kenmare.⁣ I got lucky this year again.

A rocky coastal landscape with rugged terrain covered in patches of lichen and moss. The ocean borders the rocks on the right, while a mountainous backdrop is visible under a purple and pink cloudy sky. The scene is tranquil and natural.

For this particular photo, I used a combination of techniques. I made a grid of images to replicate medium format and also did focus stacking on each one. For the final image I had Photoshop stitch everything for me and I then cropped and processed the image.

I got this one printed too trying out Flickr’s printing services on metallic paper. Then framed locally.
