Bandon Weir, Co.Cork

Bandon weir before all the flood prevention work was done. There is a heron in the background. I haven’t seen it since the course of the river was changed.
A wide, smooth waterfall flows over a weir on a river, with a modern, multi-story apartment building complex in the background. The adjacent area features greenery and a few older stone houses, suggesting a mix of urban and natural environments.

While waiting on my kids to finish Scouts I set up the tripod on this weir located in Bandon, County Cork. It was my first real long exposure of water but the effect I got has a lovely creamy texture to it. Just a pity about the background.
