Frequently asked questions
If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, just drop an email to [email protected] and I will get back to you as soon as possible...
- Tell me more about the prints?
All my photos are giclee’ printed in-studio (kitchen table) on to 310gsm fine-art matte paper using pigment based inks. Giclee printing produces a colour range that is far beyond that of standard printing, and infinitely sharper. Each print comes with an additional white border for handling purposes and based on the original aspect of the photograph which in most cases is non-standard. It also provides flexibility when framing / mounting.
I hand sign every print and certificate of authenticity when packaging. The final print is carefully packaged in a strong cardboard postal tube or flat envelope depending on the chosen print size.
If you’re ordering multiple prints they will come in the same tube/envelope, therefore if you need individual items (as gifts for example) they will need to be ordered separately.
- Where do you ship to?
The list of international destinations that An Post are shipping to can be found on https://www.anpost.com/Covid-19. We do ship to UK, Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand. Standard Shipping is free within Ireland. Irish orders with a value of over €150 are automatically shipped via An Post Registered Post for free, this requires a signature on delivery. Shipping overseas to other countries is via Registered Post at an extra cost.
- I am a business located outside of Ireland but within the EU. Can I buy prints?
Yes of course, once you update your shipping address the tax will be removed from your cart before you purchase
- What happens if my print is faulty?
Please refer to our returns policy.
- How will I receive my refund?
We process all refunds to the original card used when you placed your order.
- The colour of my print does not match what I saw on your website?
We all see colour differently but when it comes to what you see on your computer, device screen and what you see in print there will be differences. The print may well be lighter or have more contrast than you see on screen. This is a given
- How can I pay?
All major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard) and debit cards are accepted. Out payments are handled with Stripe.
- How long does it take for delivery?
As soon as your order is dispatched — you will receive a shipping confirmation email, after you receive this email, National deliveries (Ireland) are 1 – 3 working days, and International deliveries are 3 – 7 working days. These timeframes are approximate — please be aware postal services are extremely busy at present due to Covid ‑19 restrictions, seasonal heavy workloads and reduction of flight numbers due to the global pandemic. This may cause delays, so leave some extra time for delivery of your print, especially if it shipped internationally.
- What happens if my print is missing?
If your print is missing or delayed after allowing a little extra time for postal delivery (because of restrictions or delays due to the pandemic and seasonal heavy workloads) please contact me on [email protected]johnhenry.ie and we will be happy to help. We can launch an enquiry with An Post for missing, damaged or delayed items. Any missing or delayed post almost always turns up when the investigation has begun. Please allow 10 working days from when this investigation is created for An Post to locate and resolve the problem. If the print has not been delivered by then i.e. 10 working days from when the investigation is created, we will offer a replacement or refund for the missing item.
- Can an order be cancelled?
Please refer to our cancellation and returns policy.
